The Meridian Valuation Group is a real estate appraisal consulting company that provides appraisal and appraisal consulting services throughout the Silicon Valley, including all portions of Santa Clara County, Alameda County, San Mateo County, and Contra Costa County.  We also provide service in the following Central Valley Counties;  San Joaquin and Stanislaus County.

The Meridian Valuation Group has been organized not only as a commercial business, but as a training facility for new appraisers, teaching strict compliance with USPAP Standards. The purpose of this organization is to serve as a model of professional appraisal practice and ethical conduct, in order to promote and maintain a high level of public trust in our profession. We have put these principles and standards of practice ahead of our profits since our inception in 1983.

The company was founded in San Jose in 1983 by John W. Hibbard, the current owner and senior appraiser.  Mr. Hibbard holds a Certified General Certificate #AG009239 issued by the Office of Real Estate Appraisers, State of California. He is a General Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute [IIN#:526523785], and a candidate in good standing for the MAI designation.  Mr. Hibbard is one of only a small number of national instructors of the USPAP to be certified by the Appraisal Qualifications Board to teach the USPAP. We offer a competitive Fee Schedule.   We are accredited by an extensive list of Lenders, Bankers, and Mortgage Brokers nationwide.  We are approved by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA).
